Now that the advent of 3D home entertainment is upon us people are now seeking to own their favorite movies on both 3D and bluray.  Using the latest advances in technology to view movies at home in the very best visual quality possible.

The leading home entertainment developers and manufacturers have invested vast sums of money in 3D technology.  The highest current level is full 1080p high definition capable of running two 1080p frames to the screen which are formed into a 3 Dimensional image by using Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) shutter glasses.  Using passive filter glasses or active filtering switch glasses.

In order to fully utilise and take full advantage of 3D technology consumers are required to invest in the compatible hardware such as 3D enabled televisions and DVD players.  The latest generation of Blu-ray players and LCD shutter 3D glasses are needed to watch 3D at home to the highest quality. Some manufacturers are currently selling their 240HZ LCD 3D TV systems into mass production in what could be seen as an attempt to get ahead.  Samsung Blu-ray 3D DVD player was the first of the new generation of Blu-ray DVD player to hit the home technology market.

The first phase of the role out of 3D techology will be price testing, a method of defining how much consumers are prepared to pay for 3D technology.  Manufacturers will also seek to earn back as much possible as possible from the massive sums of money invested in creating 3D technology.
